Our Celebration of "Family Day!

Chantel hangs out on her hammock swing, given to her on her birthday by
Uncle Faz and Aunt Yvonne. She's finally able to enjoy some time outside in it!

Mommy and Chantel pose along the path back to the Nature Center!

Today we visited the Churchville Nature Center as a family walking the trails for about 1 1/2 hours together. Chantel loved it. The sun came out, which made walking through the woods and near the ponds delightful. We also saw deer, geese, a snake, turtles, and many beautiful birds and ducks.

We then enjoyed lunch at Subway. Finally, we came home and took a walk in the "rain". Sun showers I call them. The smell of the rain was like spring itself, and it helped me remember God understanding the sadness I feel right now, with the sun, mixing in the with joy of a beautiful spring day and time I love to spend with my family.

Thanks for anyone who has been praying for us through this challenging weekend.

Planting Blessing's Garden

Chantel uses her tools to dig and plant flowers in our memory garden for
our child, Blessing Schultz.

Here is the plaque we place out every year and the plants we've added. Notice the cute little "funky chicken", the turtle and frog by the plaque and pansies we've planted.

Here's Chantel with her friends the bunny and chicken in the garden area.

Chantel poses by the Snapdragon flower basket we bought this weekend in honor of Blessing!

We called this weekend family weekend. The first part of the weekend was planting the garden together, Chantel and Mommy, on Saturday, since the weather sounded best for that day. Next, we went to Elmo's- Sesame Street Live Presentation! We enjoyed it for our second year in a row. Chantel had fun! She gave us a show later, when we arrived home. Read my next entry, the one that will show up before this one, to see what we did on Sunday, April 20th, 2008- Family Day!

Having fun with Breakfast

Chantel loves helping to make breakfast. That's what she did this morning. Well, last week the photos show what she did to decorate her breakfast. We were able to get her to eat a pancake by adding chocolate chips and strawberries to it. She asked for the strawberries; she said she wanted to try them. See the hair, eyes, and nose were made out of strawberries. The mouth is made from chocolate chips. They were a lot of fun when they melted on the pancake and then onto her fingers. She ate the whole thing though. Yum!

Some Outdoor Shots!

Here is Chantel "hanging out" in our backyard talking to our neighbor at the fence! That's where they talk!

Now she's actually posing for a picture and our neighbor is looking too!

Now, She's twirling! She was doing it earlier all over the lawn
so I took an action photo!

Feliz, our dog, poses too! She loves playing ball in the back yard.
She is tied on her long leash, by her dog house, under a big evergreen tree.
She just rolled the ball with her nose, just before I took the picture.
She pushes it with her nose or her paws.
It can entertain her for at least an hour!

Chantel Ride's Her Bike

See comments on Chantel's 2nd tooth below! Sunday, March 30th!

Chantel is slowly adjusting to her new bike. She wanted me to show her on video the other day.

Guess who lost her second tooth already? Chantel did. She decided to give half of her Tooth Fairy money to Jesus to help the boys and girls who need food. I believe she is still thinking about the CROP walk, but I'm sure some of the money will help with food. I told her the rest will go to help boys and girls learn more about Jesus. She's learning that some of our money goes back to God and the rest is for us to use, without a lot of pressure on our part. She must truly be getting the point that all that we have is God's!
