This is the newest area of interest. Well, it's a very relaxing thing to listen to and watch. Chantel kept saying for Halloween that she wants to be a Ballerina. Well, when she bought her the clothing for it at Wal-Mart, which wasn't overly pricey, she decided she wanted to take ballet, too.
For those who don't know this, first borns don't need to be motivated very much. They are primarily self-motivated! Chantel is a first born! Read Dr. Kevin Leman's, Birth Order book.
So, she came up with this idea herself. I was glad it wasn't me that suggested it. That probably wouldn't have worked anyway.
She kept asking me a few weeks ago when I would call the Ballet places. I chose 3 places to call and only one called back. So on Wednesday night, we will be going to an open house at the http://www.ssdaballet.com/
see it posted on the side of our website on sites to visit. Hopefully you will see her face added to the photos in the years to come. She is very excited and so are we. She is very flexible and can still get her foot to her mouth and can interpret music very well. Any type of music gets her dancing, even Blue Grass (88.9 FM) on Sunday evenings, which Daddy loves. She has one CD right now, the NutCracker, which she uses to dance around the Living room and Kitchen, too, ballet style.
Hope to update you more on this in future additions!

How fun! I hope she enjoys her ballet classes! I will warn you ... I had a friend whose teenage daughter was a ballerina, and they spent big bucks on her classes, pointe shoes, recitals, leotards, etc! Start saving now! :)
Yes, I know. We will check it out on Wed. and ask questions. No pressure, we will see how far she wants to go with it. Recitals are only 1 time per year. The owner of the place was in the actual ballet school down in Philadelphia at the age of 15. Now, it's her career. I did see the price schedule. Shoes are about $20.00 they said. The tights, I'll have to check with them on what to get, we have everything else. Lessons 4 days a week, for 2 hours, when they are older. So, we will see where she goes with it. At least we won't spend as much money with gas as those who have children in sports with travel teams, that's time consuming and pricey to me. Who knows. I know music lessons, i.e. piano, for future will be $60.00 a month X 12 months 720 a year, too. So, we will see what her interests are. Thanks for the warning though. She also wants to be a doctor; if God guides, then, he will provide. :-)
